One of the things I hear from sports healthcare professionals is that in their day to day work, though they get good results, they feel like something is missing, they feel uninspired, and get frustrated by the few clients that are challenging, which leaves them questioning themselves and even lacking the confidence to guarantee results. They can feel stuck in a rut using their current tools treating clients after client in a similar way.
What most sports healthcare professionals miss is the ability to trust the wisdom of the body and be able to listen to it to guide the treatment sequencing and consider a true WHOLE ORGANISM approach to care, one that considers the viscera and the nervous system, not just the musculoskeletal system and the biomechanics of movement. When you know where to start by listening to the body you will get fast results that stick using any tool or treatment approach you like. Getting consistent results like that will improve your confidence and have you feeling inspired by every client's session, even the most complicated clients.
The LTAP™ is five orthopedic based assessments that guide the clinician or practitioner to where the body wants to begin treatment. It reveals the area of the body that will result in the greatest global change and facilitate optimal dynamic alignment and self healing capacity of the body.
Over both the 6-week course and the 2-day in-person course you will learn the entire locator test assessment protocol™.
LTAP™ is rooted in the belief that the patient’s body knows best. The LTAP™ is a sequence of orthopedic-based tests that “listen to the body” to determine where to begin treatment.
The goal is to determine if the body is protecting something in the viscera or nervous system. When the body is protecting these important structures it manifests as limited joint mobility, altered motor control, and pain anywhere in the body.
In this course you will get better results by using the LTAP™ to identify where to start treatment. Better results mean fewer treatments needed, less time spent repeating treatment techniques, happy clients, and you will gain confidence that you can help anyone.
“My clients think I’m magical! Today I used the LTAP™ on a client — Within 5 minutes, I reduced her pain using the Basic Exercise for the vagus nerve. 10 minutes later I alleviated her left shoulder and arm pain after cupping over her right ribcage/liver. (The liver was the most restricted area on her standing sidebend.) Then I resolved her back tension and further improved her left shoulder range of motion by working on the left ribcage and left upper abdomen—these areas, respectively, didn’t spring well on thoracic decompression and then was indicated by visceral inhibition MMT testing of left shoulder IR.
This experience was a dramatic improvement from her prior PT session with me.
At her last visit I spent a full hour doing MFR, joint mobilization, and a few nerve glides along the left arm and neck. Her range of motion improved somewhat, but she said her body felt crummy afterwards. Additionally, the improvements didn’t last even with consistent adherence to her strength and range of motion homework.
We are both more optimistic about todays outcome even though I didn’t touch her shoulder or arm.”

Should you bundle the online course and the in-person experience?
I can confidently say that bundling the courses will give you the best clinical outcomes (and is the best value overall).
The benefits of bundling the online and in-person courses:
You’ll have ZERO overwhelm when it comes to learning the LTAP™ assessment. You’ll have the time to move through the online course content week by week without getting overwhelmed. Each week will build on the previous week and you’ll have lots of time to practice the assessments you learn in the clinic
You’ll get hands-on, real-time feedback. Once you arrive at the in-person course, we’ll go through each section of the LTAP™ piece by piece through hands-on practice where you will get my feedback on hand placement, pressure, and test assessment which will give you a better opportunity for the best clinical outcomes. With live feedback and practice, we can perfect the assessment in real-time.
You’ll be exposed to treatment options that are not covered in the online course. Treatment is not the focus of the LTAP™, because it’s an assessment-based course. But when we meet in person, we’re able to dive even deeper into clinical cases and treatment options. You’ll walk away with fresh treatment ideas that are specific to your LTAP assessment results, which will help you get even better clinical outcomes.
You can use this in-person course to become MovementREV LTAP™ certified. To be eligible for the MovementREV LTAP™ certification you will need to complete both the in-person course and the 6-week online course in addition to the certification exam. (Opportunities for live courses will be limited as there are only 20-30 seats for this course and it is only offered 4x per year).

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Absolutely! This course is designed for you to begin to understand the influence the viscera can have on the musculoskeletal issues and provide simple treatments (you may already be doing) to affect the viscera and influence the area of injury or complaint. It also will be helpful in determining when to refer a client out for more specific type of visceral or neural manual therapy.
-
This course takes the osteopathic philosophies like “the body is the wisest, and has self healing abilities” and applies them through a lens of orthopedic tests and treatments. It takes into consideration the importance and hierarchy of the body that the visceral organs are of primary importance and influence the musculoskeletal function and pain. This course does not teach the Barral ostetopathic listening techniques or any specific visceral or neural manipulation techniques.
-
We will discuss treatment guidelines and treatment options will be provided. However, it is encouraged that you use treatment techniques and tools you already practice with.
-
The course material is the same as the in-person course; however, in the six-week online course, you will spend one week each on every assessment test, allowing you to get ample repetitions in your hands and truly utilize the LTAP™ in your practice setting. You will also have extended time in “lecture” and Q&A with weekly live zoom calls. It is the perfect companion to the in-person course to fully grasp and use the LTAP™ and new lens of view of assessing and treating the body.

Testimonials:
“Anna is a gifted practitioner and teacher, she knows so much about the body and its anatomy. The LTAP™ process is way outside the box, for most healthcare providers, but Anna is able to break it down and put it back together in a way that is useful. The assessment tests are not difficult to perform, but practice is needed to trust what you feel and know what to do next. These things are easily accomplished in the class.
The process has been very helpful in treating my lumbar fusion patient. When we started, she had significantly altered neurodynamics and neuro symptoms in her leg. Working through this process has greatly normalized her neurodynamics and she no longer has symptoms in her leg.”
—LAURA HUTTO, PT, DPT
“I’ve been using the LTAP™ on a client that was in a car accident and has gone to countless people for help with their neck. In a relaxed position my client’s neck would pull to the right. Turning the clients neck to look left, you would then see the significant pull of the neck and within seconds the neck would turn right again.
With just the breathing exercises the first day we noticed the huge difference in the delay of the neck turning. Following the other assessments we then found a restricted area in the abdomen. Some light cupping, more breathing exercises, and using the courageous ball, the neck finally relaxed for a full session. And we’re noticing that with each day the neck isn’t pulling so harshly to the left anymore.”
—SHAWNA JONES, LMT
The LTAP™ course helped me bring many years of experience and classroom knowledge together. I am often faced with patients who may have failed previous treatments or have fallen off their exercise regime given to them and develop pain again. This approached has helped me to efficiently find the areas of dysfunction and progress the patient more quickly. It is a game changer for both my patients and myself. Thank you.
—JULIE EMBREE, PT
“The LTAP™ and Level 1 course has been nothing short of a game-changer. I've been able to provide consistent and efficient results for my clients using the LTAP™ within my assessment protocols. I've recommended and would recommend this and the MovementREV Mentorship to all health and wellness practitioners.”
—BENJAMIN KLEINERT, MANUAL THERAPIST
“I'm a movement, not a hands-on practitioner and this course was spot on for me. For those of us who have worked in this business for many years and have education from all aspects, this course helped me to connect the dots in a way I've not experienced. I know that I can affect change in clients with my approach but I often feel like I'm working backwards. I can usually see these tension patterns (that this course has helped me to understand) in people and hope the movement process will get us where we are going. And it does, but knowing more about where to start has helped me to address these pattens early on with my clients give them a more level ground from which to start. With a little bit of tweaking (and 6 weeks of this course) I now feel like our movement sessions are cleaner and clearer and the results (chronic pain begins to dissipate, strength and mobility gains) are coming quicker. I've always believed that that softer side of movement and body work is the most potent and after working with you I feel like I can proceed with confidence. Thank you Anna.”
—SARAH WOOLGAR, MOVEMENT EDUCATIOR
